How to Keep Your Cover Covered
A lot of warranty claims come down to two things: sun exposure while the cover is off the pool, and chemical levels that aren't being monitored. Both are avoidable.
Every GeoBubble cover comes with a free reflective storage sheet. Using it isn't optional if you want the warranty to apply. When the cover is off the pool, sunlight will overheat and damage the material. Don't store the cover outside in direct sunlight without it.
Proper chemical balance protects the cover. Most premature cover damage is from chemical levels that got too high.
- Pull the cover off before you shock the pool. Don't put it back on until the oxidizer levels have settled back into a normal range.
- Keep your water chemistry within standard industry levels.
A few more things that matter:
- Place the cover bubbles-down on the water
- Don't drag the cover across the pool surface
- Never swim under the cover. Keep kids and pets off.
