Jandy TruGuard Mineral Sanitizer – Reduces Chlorine Up to 50%
Jandy TruGuard Mineral Sanitizer – Reduces Chlorine Up to 50%
Running chlorine at 0.5 ppm instead of 1.0 to 3.0 ppm is what TruGuard makes possible for any in-ground pool.
- Works on in-ground chlorine and bromine pools from 5,000 to 45,000 gallons
- Mineral cartridge controls algae and destroys bacteria for up to 6 months
- Reduces chlorine usage by up to 50% in most pools via Nature2 EPA-registered mineral technology
- Installs inline on the return line after the pump and filter, before any saltwater chlorinator
- Controlled Release Technology doses minerals gradually, preventing pool surface staining
- Pairs with TruClear or AquaPure salt chlorinators; helps extend salt cell life
- Cannot be used with biguanides or copper-based algaecides
Who is this for?
TruGuard fits any in-ground pool running chlorine or bromine on an existing equipment pad. Installation is a one-time PVC cut and glue to add the vessel to the return line. After that, cartridge swaps every six months require no cutting — just unscrew and replace.

The Shasta pool supply web site is very easy to navigate. To-date I've always found the product or part that I needed for my pool. I'll check other suppliers to see how the pricing is but I will not buy from out of state vendors. I want to deal with someone local if there is a problem with the product.
