This Pentair PKG115 provides a complete replacement of the 5" strainer trap with 1\2" suction connection with compatible Dura-Glas, Max-E-Glas, and JWP models of pumps. It captures larger debris that passes through the basket before reaching internal pump componets and the filter. It provides a water tight seal for your pump providing the motor with proper protection and affects priming efficiency.

It is best to preform weekly basket cleaning on the wet-end of the pump and check all pump parts every 1-2 years. While you are performing your weekly pump basket cleaning, inspect the lid and lid O-Ring for any damage. Also, check your impeller, diffuser, seal plate, and shaft seal every 1-2 years for damage. This will help avoid expensive motor issues and replacements.
