The Compression Adapter K12079, screws into a standard skimmer's vacuum port and gives the Kreepy Krauly cleaner a threaded connection for the regulator valve. The regulator valve allows you to regulate how much water is being sent to the pump while the cleaner runs.

Who is this for?

Pool owners experiencing a loss of pump prime when running their cleaner, should purchase this adapter and the regulator valve that screws into it. The compression adapter screws into the vacuum connection at the bottom of the skimmer, and then the regulator valve presses into that adapter.

Pro Tips: Pentair Threaded Compression Adaptor K12079

A cracked or stripped adapter is a common reason a Kreepy Krauly loses suction at the skimmer connection. Replace it before assuming the cleaner itself is the problem. Pentair's install guide recommends two wraps of thread seal tape on install so the fitting comes back out without a fight later. Skip the tape and it can seize in the skimmer threads over a season or two.
